You can use wall- mounting screws (not provided) to mount the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE in an open space or mount on a 35 mm wide DIN rail utilizing the molded DIN rail slot located on the base of the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE. Not in direct sunlight, near a heater or heating vent Not cluttered/crowded and sufficient clearance is available above and below the Onyxx 4G LTE Cellular Router for proper ventilation and room for cables and wiring Well-ventilated (especially if enclosed in a cabinet) The Onyxx 4G LTE Cellular Router comes with two antennae. Align the antenna with the antenna post located on the face of the Onyxx 4G LTE Cellular Router. Attach the antenna of the threaded antenna post, ensuring that the connection is secure. Adjust the antenna position. You can swivel the antenna in any direction. Place your Onyxx 4G LTE Cellular Router in a location that receives a strong wireless signal, such as near a window. Use the Signal Strength LEDs to assist with the placement and positioning of the cellular router for the best signal strength. A 10/100-Mbit Ethernet connection is provided on the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE. This is an RJ-45 port. Use a standard Ethernet patch cable for connecting to an Ethernet Hub or Switch or for connecting directly to your computer. The RJ- 45 port has two LEDs. When the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE is connected to a network, the amber L INK LED is lit and the green A CTIVITY LED flashes when activity occurs. Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to your Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE’s RJ-45 port and the other end to the internet port on your computer. Connect the power adaptor to the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE, and then plug it into an outlet. Wait for the power LED and heartbeat LED to turn on. If none of the LEDs turn on, make sure the barre connector on the end of the power adaptor is pressed firmly into the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE. Temporarily change your computer’s network settings so your IP address is set to (where .XXX is anything but .101) . Make note of your computer’s current network settings. Open your preferred internet browser and enter the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE’s IP address (factory default is 192.168.1.101) in the address bar. The Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE’s homepage will be displayed. Click on the link to the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE’s User Guide for detailed instructions on how to configure the TCP/IP and cellular networks. Once you have completed setting up the Onyxx-CE121-4GLTE’s network settings, unplug the end of the Ethernet cable from your computer’s internet port and connect to the network infrastructure.
