When properly adjusted with the system in operation and used within its rated capacity, this valve will maintain an output pressure within ± 0.1 psi. The valve is supplied in 1/4 in. pipe size with two auxiliary 1/4 in. ports, either of which can be used for connection of an output pressure gage. The direction of flow is marked on the bottom of the valve. The finish is moss green. Operation Output pressure is adjusted by turning a hand-wheel on top of the valve. Clockwise rotation increases the output pressure. A locking nut is provided which can be tightened without altering the setting. Integral filters prevent dirt from entering the valve. To protect the system from possible damage, the output pressure will not pass if the valve malfunctions. Thus, the R-131 is failsafe. Mounting The R-131 valve is designed for in-line mounting or can be panel mounted using the optional mounting bracket. Clean, dry air should be used to assure trouble-free operation.
