Introduction TheSeriesDCT500ATimerControllerisatimingsystemforpulse-jettypedustcol- lectorsorpneumaticconveyingsystemsineithercontinuousoron-demandcleaning applications.Itisprovidedwitheither4,6,or10channels.TheDCT500was designedforeaseofinstallationinyourdustcollectorsystem.Forinstallationsrequir- ingfewerchannelsthanavailableontheboard,ashortingplugisprovidedtoallow selectionofthelastusedchannel.Time-onandtime-offsettingsareselectedusing twopotentiometers.High-limitandlow-limitcontrolinputsareprovidedforusewith on-demandsystems.Whenusedinacontinuousmodethehigh-limitinputisjumped. Forsafety,thecontrolcircuitryincludingthecontrolinputsandthelastchannel jumper,isisolatedfromthepowerline. Installation Warning:Alwaysinstallandservicethisdevicewiththepoweroff andalockoutinstalledifrequired.Linevoltagesareexposedonthe board.Asaresult,thisdeviceisnotintendedtobeinstalledinanyopen location.Itmustbeinstalledwithinanenclosurethatmeetsappropriate safetyandlocalcoderequirements.Followapplicablesafetyproce- dureswheninstallingorservicingthisproduct. Thiscanbeinitiatedbyplacingajumperbetweenthehighlimitinputandthecom- monconnection.Twosetupparameterscontroloperation:timeoff,timeon.Timeon andtimeoffspecificallydealwiththesolenoidontimeandthetimeintervalbetween theendoftheonpulseandthestartofthenext. DemandMode Demandmodeoperationcanbeconfiguredusingthehighlimitandlowlimitinputs. Asimpleon-offsystemcanbesetupwithasinglepressureswitchconnectedtothe highlimitinput.Bettercontrolcanbeachievedwithahighandlowlimitswitchset suchasisprovidedinthePhotohelic®pressuregage.Inthison-demandmode,time onandtimeoffmaybeprogrammedtodefinethecleaningcycle.Whenthecleaning cycleiscompleted,thecontrollerwillcontinuethecycleuntilthelastchannelis pulsed.Thenextcleaningcyclewillalwaysstartonchannel1.Afactoryinstalled optionisavailablethatwillnotcleantotheendofthecycle,butratherstopwherethe cleaningcycleended.Thenextdemandforcleaningwillstartthesubsequentchan- nelwherethelastcleaningcycleleftoff.
